Cross-Cultural Exposure Programme 2026 at Thiruppathoor Ashramam
Programme
The Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) IV Year students of Kanyakumari Theological College (KKTC) participated in the Cross-Cultural Exposure Programme 2026 at Thiruppathoor Ashramam, an enriching initiative designed to deepen students' understanding of contextual ministry, intercultural engagement, and Christian witness in a diverse society.
As part of the programme, the Chairman, Principal, and Bursar of KKTC visited the students at the Ashramam to encourage and interact with them during their field-based learning experience. Their visit reflected the institution's commitment to supporting students as they engage in practical ministry beyond the classroom.
The Cross-Cultural Exposure Programme provides students with an opportunity to experience different cultural, social, and religious settings firsthand. Through community interaction, observation, reflection, and participation in ministry activities, students gain valuable insights into serving people from diverse backgrounds with compassion, understanding, and respect.
During the visit, the college leadership spent time with the students, discussing their experiences, challenges, and personal growth throughout the programme. They encouraged the students to remain faithful to their calling, embrace cultural diversity, and continue developing a servant-hearted approach to ministry rooted in biblical values.
The programme also enables students to integrate theological knowledge with practical ministry by engaging in contextual learning, community service, and reflective theological practice. Such experiences strengthen their leadership abilities, pastoral skills, and commitment to holistic Christian mission.
KKTC expresses its sincere appreciation to the administration and community of Thiruppathoor Ashramam for their warm hospitality and continued partnership in theological formation. The college remains committed to equipping future church leaders with the knowledge, character, and practical experience needed to serve faithfully in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
